- The primary responsibilities of a worker involved in malt bag stacking include:
- Manual Stacking: Repetitive lifting and arranging of 50-55 lb (25 kg) malt bags onto pallets to ensure a stable and secure load, sometimes to specific height or weight limits.
- Operating Equipment: Using material handling machinery such as a forklift or pallet jack to move full pallets to the storage area or loading zones.
- Packaging and Labeling: Assisting in the malt bagging process, which includes weighing, sealing, and accurately labeling bags with relevant information (e.g., lot numbers, weight).
