Malt Store Off Loader x4

  1. The primary responsibilities of a worker involved in malt bag stacking include: 
  2. Manual Stacking: Repetitive lifting and arranging of 50-55 lb (25 kg) malt bags onto pallets to ensure a stable and secure load, sometimes to specific height or weight limits.
  3. Operating Equipment: Using material handling machinery such as a forklift or pallet jack to move full pallets to the storage area or loading zones.
  4. Packaging and Labeling: Assisting in the malt bagging process, which includes weighing, sealing, and accurately labeling bags with relevant information (e.g., lot numbers, weight).
  5. Quality Control: Inspecting bags for defects, tears, or contamination before and after stacking, reporting any issues.
  6. Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels and recording production data and quantities stacked for accurate inventory tracking.
  7. Safety and Maintenance: Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines, maintaining a clean and orderly work area, and performing routine checks or minor maintenance on equipment.

Decanter x4

  1. Product decanting
    • Follow SOPs to ensure smooth process flow.
    • Products must be decanted into sand and oil trap pit.
  2. Distribution and quality Support
    • Support production team in achieving efficiency goals.
  3. Measurement, Inspections and Process Control
    • Conduct quality checks on customer orders.
    • Place beer flow bin near sand and oil trap.
    • Fasten extended funnel to flow bin outlet valve.
    • Loosen flow bin lid/cover for air circulation.
    • Open/throttle the outlet valve.
    • Monitor the flow from the flow bin.
    • When decanting is done, return the flow bin to their demarcated area near calamity tank.
    • Clean the area.
  4.  Sanitation and Safety
    • Employees in the repack area must have the correct PPE for their safety. This includes hi-visibility reflective Vest, Long pants and gloves. When working with glass the employees must wear cut resistant gloves and safety Googles.

Re-packer x1

  1. Product repacking
    • Products repacked and sent to trade MUST be from defects and aligned to the quality standards produced in the production facility
    • Follow SOPs to ensure smooth process flow.
  2. Distribution and quality Support
    • Support production team in achieving efficiency goals.
  3. Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct quality checks on customer orders.
    • Place the glue stick in the glue gunGlue the tray/box
    • Quality inspection 1- check the date of the product and plant code
    • Quality inspection 2- inspect the bottom part for discoloration and ensure that the shrink wrap is intact
    • Quality inspection 3- inspect the top of the pack for any damages to the shrink wrap
    • Quality inspection 4- inspect the product for any damages.
    • Place the packs that have passed all quality inspection in a box/tray with the similar
    • BB dates and plant code.
    • BB date should be visible.
    • RULES: ONLY pack a product into the same box/tray if they are of the same BB date and are from the same plant.
    • Complete the repack register.

  1. Operational management

Required Skills and Qualification

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Certificate/Diploma in Operations, Supervisory Management, Logistics, or Production (advantageous).
  • Forklift Training Certificate or ability to supervise forklift operations is beneficial
  • 3–5 years’ experience in operations, manufacturing, or warehousing.
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role.
  • Experience conducting staff training is an advantage
  • Knowledge of material handling, loading, sorting, packaging, and repacking processes.
