Our client, a mining company in Lesotho, is looking for a Metallurgical Manager who will assume overall responsibility for management and maintenance of the Metallurgical Plant within cost parameters, as well as strategic and operational objectives by drawing on human and other resources.
Educational Qualification and Related Experience
- B Eng. in Metallurgical Engineering
- 5 years operational experience in a Plat Operation Environment
- 3 years’ experience in a managerial position
- Experience in Open Pit Diamond Mining will be an added advantage
Key Performance Areas
- Developing functional strategy and management of the Metallurgical Plant function
- Providing governance and assurance
- Ensuring SHE and Safety Compliance
- Compiling annual budget for area of responsibilities
- Developing and implementing monitoring systems and procedures to ensure all plant costs are minimized
- Managing resources allocation and expenses related to life of mine planning
- Leading and managing people effectively
- Managing attraction, selection and retention processes
- Managing training, development and performance processes
